Meet Your Instructor
Creating what I wish I had
To achieve anything, you must first become the person capable of achieving them.
There is a pattern in how successful individuals answer "What did you learn most about [insert achievement / career / role]?".
Answers would most often not be about the actual achievement / career / role, but rather the character traits they had to develop along the way;
The adaptability to pivot or work with any obstacle they faced; The ability to inspire, mobilize and lead teams (people); The discipline and consistency of working on a goal that doesn't come easy.
Mostly, soft skills. Soft skills that we're left to "figure out" as we go. Soft skills that are considered as "life skills" but are simply not taught or focused on in schools.
In my TEDx talk in 2018, I spoke about the gaps that education today is missing. That instead of preparing children for what ever endeavor they choose (or for life, which is what schooling should do), middle school and high school curricula have grown to be solely based on grades.
Grades that can bring high impact in attaining (formal) higher education, but bring little to no impact in the workplace and life after school.
After a decade of working side by side with successful entrepreneurs and executives, I learned that it is these soft skills we often overlook (or underlook) that can truly equip people to thrive and achieve for any goal, career or role they have.
"Hard skills are learnable, trainable - or, the basic minimum. The soft skills, not so much. Those are rare." Is what many employers would also say - because simply, soft skills aren't intentionally learned or taught to many.
The great news is, it doesn't have to be that way.
Achiever Academy is my take on filling that gap. I want to make the passive learning of these soft skills / life skills, intentional.
I work with real-world achievers, schools and organizational psychologists to create curricula that can prepare anyone (starting with kids) for the world of school, work and life. To help them develop the character traits they need to accomplish.
Through Achiever Academy, I build a home for ambitious people to sharpen their character. I build what I wish I had - so it doesn't have to take anyone else (especially our youth) years or decades of "going through life" to learn and do so.
Anyone that goes through our doors will be supported with the right care and attention, inspired by curricula written with proper research and practicality, and instilled with belief that they can achieve anything they wanted to - given they put in the time and effort to become someone capable of achieving them.
I look forward to seeing how we inspire and equip thousands of people to achieve greater things than they thought possible.
With the warmest handshake, I welcome you to Achiever Academy.
