Welcome to Achiever Academy (operating under the legal entity "Literacy Asia Limited"). These Terms & Conditions outline the rules, regulations, and expectations for participation in our programs. By enrolling in our classes, camps, or activities, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
1. Eligibility and Enrollment
1.1. Enrollment is open to students aged 10–18, or as otherwise specified by the program.
1.2. Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of a completed registration form and payment of applicable fees.
1.3. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
1.4. Achiever Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances.
2. Fees and Payments
2.1. All fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the program, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
2.2. Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable unless Achiever Academy cancels a class or program, or in special cases as agreed (e.g., Transferring class credits to a friend).
3. Class Credit System
3.1. Achiever Academy operates on a flexible class credit system, rather than monthly enrollment.
3.2. Class credits have validity periods from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified.
3.3. Credits are only deducted for classes attended or not attended without prior notification.
3.4. If you are unable to attend a class, please notify Achiever Academy at least 3 hours in advance to retain your credit for future use within the validity period.
3.5. Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where Achiever Academy cancels the program.
4. Make-Up Classes, Cancellations, and Refunds
4.1. If a student misses a class due to illness or conflicting commitments and notifies Achiever Academy at least 3 hours in advance, the class credit can be used toward a future class within the credit validity period.
4.2. While instructors will support students in catching up during subsequent sessions, Achiever Academy does not offer dedicated make-up class sessions. Please make every effort to attend the scheduled classes.
4.3. If a student withdraws from a program, written notice must be provided to Achiever Academy.
4.4. Achiever Academy reserves the right to cancel or postpone any program. In such cases, a full refund or class credits will be offered.
4.5. Classes or programs canceled due to adverse weather or natural events beyond our control will not be refunded or rescheduled, but class credits will remain valid for future use within the credit validity period.
5. Attendance and Punctuality
5.1. Students are expected to attend classes regularly and arrive on time.
5.2. Missed classes without the required 3-hour advance notice will result in the deduction of the class credit.
5.3. In the event of illness or emergency, please notify Achiever Academy as soon as possible to discuss credit options.
6. Code of Conduct
6.1. Respect for All: Students must treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with kindness and respect at all times, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.
6.2. Zero Tolerance for Bullying: Bullying of any kind—including verbal, physical, social, or cyberbullying—will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Any reports of bullying will be taken seriously and may result in immediate removal from the program.
6.3. Positive Participation: Students are expected to participate actively, listen to others, and encourage their peers, fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
6.4. Safe and Supportive Environment: Disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior—including harassment, discrimination, or exclusion—will result in disciplinary action, which may include removal from the program.
6.5. Responsibility: Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that students understand and follow Achiever Academy’s Code of Conduct.
7. Safety and Liability
7.1. Achiever Academy takes all reasonable precautions to ensure student safety.
7.2. Parents/guardians agree to release Achiever Academy (and "Literacy Asia Limited") from liability for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during participation.
7.3. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to inform Achiever Academy of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs prior to enrollment.
8. Technology Requirements
8.1. While all classes are held in-person, students will need access to basic technology to fully participate in class activities and projects. Please ensure your child brings the following to each session:

Laptop: A personal laptop capable of connecting to WiFi and running a modern web browser is required for most activities.

Web Browser: Students should have an up-to-date web browser installed (such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari).

Headphones (Optional): For certain activities, headphones may be useful for focus or multimedia assignments.

Charged Device: Please ensure laptops are fully charged before class; charging stations may be limited.
Our classrooms provide reliable WiFi access for all students. If you have any questions about suitable devices or specific software, please contact our support team for guidance.
8.2. Achiever Academy is not responsible for technical issues on the student’s side that prevent participation.
9. Bad Weather Procedures
9.1. In the event of adverse weather, Achiever Academy will follow the guidelines set by the Hong Kong Observatory and the Education Bureau (EDB) for primary and secondary schools:
Typhoon Warning Signals
• Signal No. 1: Classes proceed.
• Signal No. 3: Classes proceed unless notified otherwise.
• Signal No. 8 or Above: All classes after hoist suspended.
Classes will resume when it is lowered to No.3 or below at least 2 hours before start of class time.
Rainstorm Warning Signals
• Amber: Classes proceed.
• Red: Classes proceed unless notified otherwise.
• Black: All classes after hoist suspended. Students remain indoors until safe to leave.
Classes will resume when it is lowered to Red or below at least 2 hours before start of class time.
9.2. In case of bad weather, parents/guardians will be informed of cancellations or class resumption via email, SMS, or phone call. Please ensure your contact information is up to date.
9.3. Classes canceled due to bad weather will not be rescheduled or refunded. Class credits will remain valid for future use within the credit validity period.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1. All materials, content, and curriculum provided by Achiever Academy are the intellectual property of Achiever Academy.
10.2. Students and parents/guardians agree not to copy, distribute, or reproduce any materials without prior written consent.
11. Media Release
11.1. By enrolling, parents/guardians consent to the use of photos, videos, or testimonials of students for promotional and research purposes.
11.2. If you do not wish for your child’s image or feedback to be used, please notify Achiever Academy in writing before the program begins.
12. Privacy Policy
12.1. Achiever Academy respects your privacy and will only use personal information for administrative, communication and research purposes.
12.2. Personal data will not be shared with third parties without prior consent, except as required by law.
13. Changes to Terms & Conditions
13.1. Achiever Academy reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
13.2. Parents/guardians will be notified of any significant changes before they take effect.
14. Governing Law
14.1. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), China.
14.2. Any disputes arising from participation in Achiever Academy's programs will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the HKSAR, China.
